PIQUA – Police in Piqua are investigating an alleged armed robbery that occurred at the Subway on East Ash Street around 6 p.m. Friday.

Officers said that the man entered the front door of the restaurant and displayed “a large butcher knife.” He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6′ tall, wearing a Carhart jacket. He was reportedly wearing a green mask.

A K-9 unit from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office was brought in to attempt to track the suspect. The suspect apparently fled south, on foot.
