Two injured in US36 crash


Mike Ullery | Daily Call Firefighters from Covington and Miami Co. sheriff’s deputies work the scene of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Rt. 36 at Mulberry Grove-Rakestraw Road, between Piqua and Covington, on Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred around 3 p.m when a silver car pulled into the path of an eastbound van. The impact spun the car around in the roadway and the van ended up in a nearby yard. The drivers of both vehicles were wearing seat belts. Both were transported by Covington medic units to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Miami Co. Sheriff’s Department.
