Interstate roll-over causes injuries

PIQUA – Several people were injured in an I-75 roll-over crash near the 78 mile marker on Sunday.

Multiple agencies, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Miami County Sheriff’s Department, Piqua Fire Department and Troy Fire Department, responded to a report of a crash in the northbound lanes of I-75, in the construction zone, near the 78 mile marker, around 7:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, which bore Kentucky license plates, apparently lost control, rolling the vehicle, which landed on its top, partially on top of the concrete barriers.

At least two of the victims were transported by Piqua Fire Department Medics to the Upper Valley Medical Center. None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Traffic on I-75 was slowed in both directions as authorities investigated the crash.

The crash in being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
