Two injured in Piqua crash


Piqua firefighters work to remove victims from two vehicles involved in a crash on Co. Rd. 25-A near Sherry Drive around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon. Piqua police say that a female driver of a maroon car was leaving a church when she pulled into the path of another car. The two vehicles crashed and left the roadway. One of them traveling approximately 30 yards off the highway and struck the wood deck of an apartment. The female had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters. Both victims were transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Piqua medic units. One of the victims was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. Officers say that the female will be cited for failure to yield the right of way.
