Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of criminal damage done to a vehicle at the Colonial Terrace Apartments on Covington Avenue between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 16. Air had reportedly been let out of a tire, but it was not damaged.

A resident noticed his shed door had been tampered with on the 1200 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on Nov. 16.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of several subjects yelling at a residence on the 300 block of S. Main Street on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. The resident advised that “his brother was upset and had broken a couple items,” according to police reports.

A male reportedly threatened two individuals on Nov. 16 at 10:50 a.m. One was allegedly threatened with violence over the phone, and the other was reportedly threatened in person. Robert E. Richardson, 75, of Piqua was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor menacing and fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence.

There was a reported disturbance involving a female attempting to leave a residence on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. Jonathan R. Rivers, 29, of Piqua was charged with fifth-degree felony domestic violence in connection with this incident. Rivers is also facing two charges of fifth-degree felony trafficking in drugs unrelated to this incident. His bond was revoked for those drug charges. Rivers is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on a total of $110,000 bond.

There was a report of a disturbance on the 300 block of Broadway on Nov. 16 at 6:47 p.m. Two subjects were warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of a disturbance on the 500 block of S. Downing Street on Nov. 16 at 7:36 p.m. A male was warned for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

There was an unruly juvenile complaint on the 1100 block of Covington Avenue on Nov. 17 at 2:20 p.m. A female juvenile was charged with domestic violence in connection with this incident.

THEFT: A subject reportedly took items from several different stores, including Elder Beerman, on Nov. 16 at 4:18 p.m. Caren D. House, 52, of Sidney was charged with theft and then released in connection with this incident.

BURGLARY: A residence on Camaro Court was reportedly broken into during the day on Nov. 16. Items were taken.

SUSPICIOUS: A complainant thought someone was in his backyard on Amesbury Court on Nov. 16 at 11 p.m. An officer did not locate anyone.

There was a report of a subject wearing all black allegedly looking into vehicles around George’s Dairy Bar at the car of Spring and Ash Streets on Nov. 17 at 4 a.m. Officers did not locate the subject and the vehicles did not appear to have been tampered with.
