Notice of special meeting

PIQUA — Notice is hereby given that Piqua City Commission City Manager Assistant City Manager and Finance Director will meet to review the 2016 budget for the City of Piqua. The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 191 2015 and will begin at 4 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the Administrative Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Government Complex located at 201 W. Water Street.

New all-way stops at Park and Westview, Park and Parkway

PIQUA — A traffic pattern change has been made at the intersections of Park and Westview as well as Park and Parkway. These intersections are now all-way stops. Please close attention and make sure you stop at these stop signs. The police department will be monitoring these intersections for enforcement.

Mainstreet Piqua to host annual meeting

PIQUA — Mainstreet Piqua will be hosting its annual meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17 and interested Piqua residents, businesses and civic leaders are invited to attend. The meeting will be held on the fourth floor of the Fort Piqua Plaza with refreshments and networking at 8 a.m. and the formal program will get underway at 8:30 a.m.

During the annual meeting the downtown organization will take time to recognize individuals and businesses who they believe have significantly helped the downtown and the Piqua community. Following the awards presentation, and a celebration of the Mainstreet Piqua accomplishments in the last year, the attendees will be treated to a presentation by Joyce Barrett. Joyce Barrett currently serves Executive Director for Heritage Ohio Inc. Ohio’s statewide preservation organization whose mission is helping people save the places that matter, build community and live better. Heritage Ohio coordinates the Ohio Main Street program and is the lead advocacy organization for the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit. Joyce’s presentation will focus on why “Design Matters” and the importance of preserving the downtown core.

Mainstreet Piqua is a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Piqua. The organization is responsible for a number of projects in the Piqua community including downtown beautification and hosts several events throughout the year including Taste of the Arts, Christmas on the Green and the Piqua Community Farmers Market.
