PIQUA — Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Government Complex located at 201 West Water Street, Piqua, the city of Piqua Commission will meet in regular session to consider the proposed city of Piqua Tax Budget for Miami County for the Calendar year 2016 and Draft Appropriation Ordinance.

Preschool in the Park “Frogs and Tadpoles”

TIPP CITY — Join Park District Naturalist Gecko Jody as she discovers the natural world on Monday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to noon. Take a discovery hike to the pond where participants will look and listen for frogs and tadpoles at Charleston Falls Preserve, located at 2535 Ross Rd. in Tipp City.

Meet in the gravel parking lot. The fee is $3.00 for each class. Class size is limited to 12. Class minimum is four.

Kiwanis Meeting

PIQUA — There will be a Kiwanis Meeting on Wednesday, June 24, from noon to 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, the meeting will be on: “Piqua Civic Band: History, youth mentoring and schedule for upcoming season” with Tami Tennison, band president, and Brett Poling, director.

Kiwanis meetings are open to the public. Luncheon and meetings take place at noon on Wednesdays at The Bistro Room (formerly The Backyard Bistro) at 1876 Commerce Dr. in Piqua. PIQUA — Meet at Noon in the Louis Program Room at the Piqua Public Library for the Brown Bag Discussion on Wednesday, June 24. Bring your lunch and join as we discuss the Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure.

Bookmobile in the Park “Superheros-Spiders”

TROY — At the Hobart Urban Nature Preserve, 1400 Tyrone, Troy, the Miami Country Park District will hold a bookmobile on Wednesday, June 24, at 2 p.m.

In addition to a visit from the Bookmobile, participants will join a park naturalist and learn how spiders have Spider-Man powers. Find out why they are a superhero in the animal world

All ages are welcome. As we learn about our furry friends, the bats, find out why they are a superhero in the animal world
