Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found at the Red Carpet Inn, located at 9060 Country Club Rd., on Oct. 23 at 12:54 p.m.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Cleveland Street for a verbal disturbance on Oct. 23 at 1:17 p.m. All parties were reportedly warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of an adult boyfriend yelling outside of a residence on the 1500 block of S. Main Street on Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. He was reportedly contacted and warned for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Family members reportedly arguing at a residence on the 600 block of Boal Avenue were warned for disorderly conduct on Oct. 24 at 7:21 p.m.

There was a report of a female yelling and acting disorderly on the 300 block of Garnsey Street on Oct. 24 at 10:30 p.m. She was warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of two males fighting at a Shell gas station, located at 600 South St., on Oct. 24 at 11:53 p.m. They were warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of a disturbance outside of Ulbrich’s Market, located at 407 S. Wayne St., on Oct. 25 at 12:30 a.m. A male was warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of a disturbance on the 300 block of Pinewood Avenue on Oct. 25 at 8:20 a.m. An involved person was reportedly found to be in violation of a protection order. Mattew A. Reedy, 33, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor violation of a protection order in connection with this incident.

THEFT: An employee at Aldi, located at 1243 E. Ash St., reported seeing a subject possibly stealing a cup of noodles before leaving the store on Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m.

A female allegedly attempted to steal steak, beer, and laundry detergent from Kroger, located at 1510 Covington Ave., on Oct. 23 at 5:20 p.m. Julie A. Jenkins, 35, of Piqua was charged with theft in connection with this incident.

A cell phone was reported stolen while the owner was attending a football game. The cell phone was reportedly taken sometime between 7-11 p.m. on Oct. 23 on the 500 block of Gray Street.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 800 block of Caldwell Street on Oct. 24 at 6:20 a.m.

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2900 block of Chinook Pass on Oct. 24 at 2:26 p.m.

A tip jar was reported stolen from behind the bar at Lucky’s Bar, located at 108 N. Main St., on Oct. 25 at 2 a.m. Derek J. Dorsten, 34, of Piqua was charged with theft in connection with this incident.

Items were reported stolen from a vehicle overnight between Oct. 24-25 on the 700 block of Brook Street.

An unlocked vehicle appeared to have been entered and gone through on the 700 block of South Street on Oct. 25. A small item was reported missing.

BURGLARY: A house on the 600 block of Scott Street appeared to have been entered between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Oct. 22. Nothing was reported missing.

There was a report of a burglary on the 600 block of Miami Street on Oct. 24 between 3:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. An iPad, prescription medication, and loose change were reported stolen.

There was a report of a burglary on the 900 block of Plymouth Avenue on Oct. 24 at 8:54 p.m. A vehicle and cash were reported stolen.

UNRULY JUVENILE: A complainant reported that he believed a juvenile put a piece of wood with a nail sticking up in the street on the 600 block of S. Main Street on Oct. 23 at 5:14 p.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A window at the Bethany Center, located at 339 South St., was found to be cracked due to a rock possibly being thrown at it on Oct. 23 at 5:39 p.m.

The back and front passenger side tires on a vehicle on the 600 block of Miami Street were slashed on Oct. 25 sometime between midnight and 4:26 a.m.

A victim reported “that unknown subjects in a moving vehicle had thrown eggs at his car” on the 500 block of S. Main Street on Oct. 26 at midnight, according to police reports.

FRAUD: Subjects reported used stolen and/or fraudulent credit cards to purchase “several thousand dollars worth of gift cards” at Walmart on Oct. 23 at 7:20 p.m.

SUSPICIOUS: A resident on the 300 block of S. Downing believed she saw someone run through her backyard on Oct. 23 at 8:47 p.m. Police checked the area, and no one was located. The resident later reported seeing someone jumping over the fence into her backyard at 9:30 p.m. An officer did not find anyone in the yard.

ASSAULT: There was a report of an assault occurring at Lucky’s Bar on Oct. 24 at 12:47 a.m. According to police reports, a “suspect could not be determined due to the lack of witnesses and the victim not seeing who assaulted him.”
