PLEASANT HILL – A mobile home burned to the ground just south of the village on Saturday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 2000 block of Johnson Road around 8:30 a.m.

A deputy sheriff who arrived just after the call was dispatched reported the large mobile home to be fully-engulfed and also requested a medic unit be dispatched for a man with burns.

As Pleasant Hill Fire Department units arrived they immediately requested a full response from both Ludlow Falls and Laura departments.

The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes but fire units were on the scene doing overhaul for more than two hours.

The man, who was the resident at the home, did not appear to be seriously injured. The mobile home is a total loss.

No cause or damage estimate is available at this time.
