Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found in the bushes at a church in the area of W. Greene and Broadway Streets on Sept. 25 at 9 a.m. It was taken into property at the Piqua Police Station.

THEFT: Merchandise was reported stolen from Walmart on Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: According to police reports, a complainant advised that “an argument with the mother of his child resulted in him being threatened by the mother’s boyfriend” on the 700 block of S. Downing Street on Sept. 25 at 4:55 p.m. The complainant wanted a report documenting the incident.

MENACING: There was a menacing complaint at Walmart on Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Police spoke with witnesses, concluding that all parties were involved in a mutual argument.

UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION: There was a report of a possible underage drinking party occurring on the 900 block of Broadway Street on Sept. 25 at 11:12 p.m. Two female juveniles were reportedly found passed out on the kitchen floor of the residence, according to police reports. They were transported to the hospital. Officers spoke with several subjects and underage consumption of alcohol charges were filed.

UNRULY JUVENILE: There was a report of juveniles blocking the street and being loud in the area of Haverhill Drive and New Haven Road on Sept. 25 at 11:42 p.m. They were not located.

OVI: A traffic stop was made for a no turn signal in the area of W. Grant and Kitt Streets on Sept. 26 at 12:09 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly driving while intoxicated. Charles R. Rose, 37, of Piqua was charged with third-degree felony OVI.

A male was stopped for a lane violation in the area of W. Greene and N. College Streets on Sept. 26 at 2:44 a.m. He was reportedly driving under suspension and under the influence of alcohol. Eric D. Higgins, Sr., 46, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on E. North Street on Sept. 26 at 2:54 p.m.

There was a report of a disturbance on Vine Street on Sept. 26 at 3:30 a.m. There were no threats or violence reported.

A male claimed a female struck him on the face on Broadway Street on Sept. 26 at 12:50 p.m. The female denied the action, stating that the male was attempting to kick her out of the residence. Both parties refused to leave.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: A complainant reported a neighbor’s dog running loose and defecating in the complainant’s yard on the 800 block of Manier Avenue on Sept. 26 at 9:40 a.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A resident reported that someone had egged his truck overnight between Sept. 25-26 on the 800 block of Broadway Street.

The door of a residence on the 800 block of Caldwell was egged overnight between Sept. 25-26.

A dispute among friends reportedly ended with a subject breaking a neighbor’s window and fence on the 300 block of S. Wayne Street on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. The suspect was taken to the hospital for lacerations on his hands. Edward A. Wheeler, 19, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging.
