PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ASSAULT: There was a report of an assault at the junior high school on March 1 at around noon. A female juvenile offender was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault in connection with this incident.
WARRANT: A woman was arrested on Second Street for a warrant out of Butler County on March 1 at 2:40 p.m.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip accident near JC Penney on March 1 at 6 p.m.
DRUG OFFENSE: While on patrol, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in upper Fountain Park after closed hours on March 1 at 10 p.m. One of the passengers was charged with minor misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Subjects advised that a woman was at a residence on Staunton Street causing a problem on March 1 at approximately 11:55 p.m. She was warned for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. The woman left area.
A 13-year-old was reportedly shoved down by another student after getting off the school bus on Covington Avenue on March 2 at approximately 3:30 p.m., which resulted in property damage.
THEFT: A tablet and a part to a vehicle were reported stolen from a residence on Cleveland Street sometime between Feb. 28 and March 2. A computer was also reportedly damaged.
There was a report of a woman shoplifting at Walmart on March 2 at approximately 7 p.m. Ashley D. Kline, 31, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.
DISTURBANCE: There was a third party report of an adult male subject harassing a juvenile male subject at Wendy’s on East Ash Street on March 2 at around 8 p.m.
A disturbance was reported on Amherst Avenue on March 2 at approximately 9 p.m. Someone involved advised that nothing physical had occurred.
There was a disturbance complaint in reference to a disorderly female subject at the bar at Z’s Food and Spirits on North Wayne Street on March 3 at approximately 3:30 a.m. The woman was warned for disorderly conduct and given a ride home.
