PIQUA — Multiple charges were filed this week against Piqua resident Michael A. Cable, 26, in connection with a home invasion that took place back in October 2014.

The home invasion and robbery reportedly took place on the 900 block of South Street on Oct. 28, 2014. According to Deputy Chief Marty Grove with the Piqua Police Department, a call came in that two people had forcefully entered a home and were armed with a gun and a box cutter.

“During the altercation, a subject was cut and had to receive medical treatment,” Grove said.

Items were stolen from the residence. Evidence gathered at the scene has been analyzed and reportedly suggests Cable took part in the incident.

Cable was charged this week with first-degree felony aggravated robbery, first-degree aggravated burglary, and second-degree felonious assault.

“At this point in time, the investigation is continuing,” Grove said.

Cable is currently being held at the Shelby County Jail on unrelated charges. His bail is set at $2,067 cash or bond.
