PIQUA — The first-ever Downtown Piqua Holiday HorseParade, hosted by Mainstreet Piqua, will be held tonight.

The parade will begin at Main and Greene streets at 7 p.m. and wll include horse-drawn carriages, hitches and riders, all outfitted with holiday lights, making their way down Main Street.

To accommodate the parade, there will be no parking in the 300 and 400 blocks of North Main Street starting at 5 p.m. There will also be limited parking on Wayne and Market streets.

The downtown Piqua Holiday Horse parade will begin at Main and Greene streets and will proceed south on Main to High streets and then make its way around McCulloch Square and back to Greene Street on Main Street.

There will be an announcers stand at the intersection of Main and Ash streets.

The Downtown Piqua Holiday Horse parade is being sponsored by Tim Hutton’s Prestige Builders, Complete Auto & Tire Service, Cathcart & Company, Parker’s Mobility, Buffalo Wings & Rings, Family Farm and Home, Best One Tire and Service and McDougall Marsh Land Surveyor. Other sponsors include John Bertke State Farm, Piqua Lumber, Piqua Marathon and Industry Products.
