PIQUA — The completion of the quilt for the 20th Annual St. Boniface Quilt Raffle exemplified teamwork, as 30 members and friends of St. Boniface and St. Mary Parishes donated their talent/time to get the job done.
Jo Gast, the initial team member, chose the pattern, “Hearts & Flowers,” and cross-stitched the first block. Next, Juanita Ventura organized the cross-stitching of the remaining twenty-nine blocks.
Assisting with the cross-stitching were Pat Alexander, Marie Anderson, Shanntel Anderson, Ann Bradl, Karen Butt, Karla Cool, Rachelle Cordonnier, Betty Fogt, Rose Hemm, Cheryl Herbe, Rosella Grisez, Marlene Henry, Delores Kiefer, Pat Knab, Dolores Latham, Judy Meckstroth, Cindy Nelson, Vickie Pierson, Judy Quinter, Karen Sayre, Gayle Schulz, Mary Teach, Joyce Thornberry, Deb Tyler, Jennifer Ventura, Juanita Ventura, and Robbie Webb. Rose Hemm assembled the blocks (later added the binding). Beth Ann Miller did the machine quilting, and Barb Meyer created and stitched on the label.
