PIQUA — “The History of Presidential Elections” is the timely topic of a program by The Piqua Rotary Club set for 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Edison State Community College. The guest speaker will be attorney Thomas R. Cochran, whose office is located in Tipp City.
Cochran, a native of Cleveland, attended Ohio University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975, and a Master of Arts degree in 1977. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Capital University in 1988.
Cochran taught government and social studies at Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City from 1977 until 1988. He has worked as an attorney in Tipp City since 1988.
He is a member of the Miami County Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association, as well as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, Tipp City Rotary Club, and Tipp Improvement Corporation. In addition, he is a past president of the Tipp City School Board, on which he served three terms (or 12 years).
Cochran and his wife, Amy, live in Tipp City, and have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
