Rep. Davidson to address Piqua Rotary

PIQUA — U.S. Rep. Warren Davidson (Ohio, 8th Congressional District) will be the featured speaker at the Piqua Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 11, beginning at 11:45 a.m. at Edison State Community College, according to President Diana Davis.

Born and raised in Sidney, Rep. Davidson enlisted in the Army immediately following high school and went on to earn an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he finished in the top 10 percent of his class.

He subsequently served in The Old Guard, The 75th Ranger Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division. In 2000, Rep. Davidson returned to Ohio to help with his father’s manufacturing business. He helped grow one company with 20 employees to multiple companies with over 200 employees. He also earned a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.

He has been married to his wife, Lisa, for over 20 years and they have two teenage children, Rachel and Zachary. He is the former chairman of the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association. Rep. Davidson was sworn in as the newest member of the U.S. Congress on June 9.

• Oct. 25: An off-site meeting at Jackson Tube Service Inc. to include lunch/tour.
