PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An officer reportedly found people fighting outside of a business on North Main Street on Sept. 22 at 2:39 a.m.
FRAUD: A resident reported that his identity had been stolen and used to open several accounts on Sept. 22.
THEFT: A cell phone was reported stolen at the Piqua High School Alexander Stadium on Indian Trails on Sept. 22 at 2:05 p.m.
A gas-powered power washer was reported stolen off of a back porch on South Downing Street on Sept. 21 between 6:45 a.m. and 5 p.m.
A tablet was reported stolen from a pawn shop on North College Street on Sept. 23 at 3 p.m.
A bike was reported stolen from a front yard on West Grant Street on Sept. 25 between 3-10:20 a.m.
ROBBERY: A victim reported getting robbed by five juveniles aged between 15-18 years old in the area of North Main Street and Riverside drive on Sept. 22 between 2:40-3 p.m. A cell phone and sunglasses were taken, according to police reports.
The was a report of a male subject assaulted a known woman and taking her vehicle and some property on West High Street on Sept. 24 at 2:30 a.m. Joshua T. Lee, 35, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree felony robbery in connection with this incident. A warrant for his arrest was requested.
ASSAULT: A caller reported that she had been assaulted by a black male subject on North Main Street on Sept. 22 between 11:45 p.m. and midnight. The victim said she escaped the subject and ran to a local business to call the police. According to police reports, officers checked the area and were unable to find the subject.
DRUG SEARCH WARRANT: A drug-related search warrant was executed at a residence on Second Street on Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. According to police reports, evidence of drug use and drug trafficking was recovered during the search.
SUSPICIOUS: A company on Roosevelt reported chasing an intruder off of their property on Sept. 23 at 11:45 a.m. The building was searched, and the subject was not located.
There was a report of two male subjects wearing clown masks and yelling at people as they drove by in black truck on East Ash Street at the Miami Valley Centre Mall on Sept. 25 at 1:15 p.m.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a female subject screaming at a local bar on Wood Street on Sept. 24 at 12:43 a.m. An employee advised that a male subject was acting disorderly. The subject also allegedly pulled a knife, but no one at the bar witnessed the incident, according to police reports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of a rock being thrown into a front window at a house on Hancock Street on Sept. 25 at 12:28 a.m. Another window at a nearby residence was also reportedly found damaged. Jefferey N. Guillozet, 47, of Covington, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found on Covington Avenue on Sept. 25. It was taken into police property.
INFORMATION REPORT: A garage door on Manier Avenue was reportedly egged overnight between Sept. 24-25.
