Local students graduate UD

DAYTON — More than 1,500 undergraduates received their degrees from the University of Dayton during the spring commencement ceremony.

Students make dean’s lists

• AKRON — Congratulations to more than 3,400 students who made the spring 2016 dean’s list at the University of Akron. To be eligible, recipients maintained a GPA of 3.50 to 3.999 and were enrolled in 12 or more credit hours. Local students include:

Tara Snipes of Covington, majoring in Information Systems Management.

Colleen Powers of Troy, majoring in Marketing Management Program.

• BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Daniel Wiseman of Bradford was named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed spring 2016 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

• BEREA — The following local college students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the dean’s list.

Belinda Conrad of New Carlisle, an instrumental performance and arts management and entrepreneurship major.

Cesira Miconi of Tipp City, a graduate of Tippecanoe High School, majoring in studio art.

Brandon Wysong of Bradford, a graduate of Bradford High School, majoring in early childhood education.

• BLUFFTON—Bluffton University has announced its dean’s list for the spring term.

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement.

Undergraduates from the area are:

Edward Martin of Piqua, and Amber Edwards of Covington.

• KENT — Kent State recognizes more than 8900 undergraduate students who have been named to the dean’s list for spring 2016. Undergraduate students who obtain a 3.400 GPA or higher while maintaining 12 or more credit hours during the spring qualify to receive this honor.

• BLUFFTON — Bluffton University has announced its dean’s list for the spring term.

Students with a GPA of 3.6 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list, including Katelyn Gardella of Troy.

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement, and Patricia Latimer of Troy, made this list.

Blier named to president’s list

KENT — Brittany Blier, a junior studying Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences, was named to the spring 2016 president’s list.

Blier is among 979 undergraduate students who have earned and received academic recognition.
