COVINGTON — During a special meeting held Monday morning, the Covington Board of Education approved a contract of JOS Contracting, LLC to complete renovations of locker rooms and restrooms at Covington High School. The contract was for $148,880.
The renovations are expected to take place over the summer.
Other ongoing projects at the high school include installing a new fire alarm system; replacing the carpet in the main hallways, the locker bay, and the band room; repaving the existing areas of the high school parking lot; repairing and replacing selected sidewalks; replacing selected doors; and creating an additional parking area at the new building site.
Those projects have been previously approved as part of the district’s renovation project for the high school.
