PIQUA — Piqua resident Lennon M. Morrow, 18, was picked up on a warrant over the weekend in connection with a drug search warrant served earlier this month.
Charges were filed against Morrow on June 22, and he was arraigned Monday for third-degree felony tampering with drugs and minor misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in Miami County Municipal Court.
The drug-related search warrant took place on the 1000 block of Garbry Road on June 17. According to court records, items recovered from the scene included miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, chunks of wax, a blue glass marijuana pipe, cash, two prescription pill bottles, a marijuana grinder and digital scales, a razor blade with white powder on it, two metal cocaine pipes, cell phones, and suspected marijuana. A small portion of the white powder also field-tested positive for cocaine, according to court records.
A 17-year-old juvenile from Troy was also charged third-degree felony tampering with drugs and minor misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with this incident and is reportedly incarcerated at the West Central Juvenile Facility.
Norbert J. Stambaugh, 55, of Piqua, also was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with this incident. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
William D. Dewberry, 25, of Dayton, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business and second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest after he was reportedly caught after attempting to flee from the scene. Dewberry is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on $1,000 bond. Dewberry’s next court date is scheduled for Aug. 3.
Recently in May, Dewberry was found guilty of fifth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine and was sentenced to two years of community control in an related charge in Miami County Common Pleas Court.
Morrow is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for Morrow is scheduled for July 6.
In other news:
Daisha N. Archer, 19, of Piqua, was charged with third-degree misdemeanor sexual imposition on Friday. Archer is accused of having sexual contact with a minor. The alleged victim is a 14-year-old male juvenile.
The alleged sex offense was first reported by a juvenile probation officer in April. According to court records, Archer is also a registered daycare worker.
Archer is scheduled to be arraigned on July 6.
