PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
THEFT: Items were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Young Street overnight between June 9-10.
A victim reported that lug nut covers were missing from his vehicle on New Haven Road, and they went missing sometime between June 9-10.
An unknown suspect reportedly stole two cartons of cigarettes and left Speedway without paying on June 11 at 1:53 a.m.
CRASH: There was a report of a traffic accident involving two vehicles near HH Gregg on Ash Street on June 10 at 10:42 a.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a report of a traffic accident in the area of Sunoco on June 10 at 2:53 p.m.
A traffic crash reportedly occurred on Park Avenue on June 10 at 5:15 p.m. There were no injuries.
A traffic crash reportedly occurred on College Street near CVS on June 10 at 5:24 p.m. There was a reported injury.
Another traffic crash was reported in the area of Covington Avenue and Sunset Drive on June 10 at 6:36 p.m. There were no injuries.
CITIZEN ASSIST: A car was reportedly damaged from hitting a pot hole in the street on South Street on June 10 at 1:44 p.m.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a male subject “waving a gun and threatening to shoot up a house” on Brice Avenue on June 10 at 2 p.m., according to police reports. An officer pulled the alleged suspect over in a traffic stop and detained the suspect. The vehicle was searched, and no gun was found. The victim wanted the suspect trespassed from the property. Officers warned the suspect, and then he was released.
There was a report of shots fired in the area of Downing Street on June 10 at 3:27 p.m. Nothing was found after an officer checked the area.
A resident reported seeing four juveniles run on his property and running east on Park Avenue on June 11 at 1:55 a.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A caller reported that a female subject struck her car door in the Kroger parking lot on June 10 at 4:19 p.m. The alleged suspect left the scene. The complainant did not pursue charges.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Neighbors were reportedly arguing about a barking dog and loud noise complaints on Boone Street on June 10 at 7:21 p.m. The involved parties were warned for disorderly conduct.
An intoxicated male subject was reportedly made to leave a vehicle and was found sitting on the side of the road in the area of N. Wayne Street and Riverside Drive on June 10 at 9:14 p.m. The subject was transported home without incident.
FOUND PROPERTY: Someone found four fishing rods and reels at Echo Lake on June 10 at 8:24 p.m. They were turned over to the Piqua Police Department.
UNRULY JUVENILE: Approximately four female juveniles reportedly rang a doorbell on Orr Street before running away on June 10 at 10:51 p.m.
TRESPASSING: A complainant reported that a female juvenile was in his Jeep without his permission and that a male juvenile was also trespassing on the caller’s driveway on Marwood Drive on June 11 at 12:31 a.m. The male juvenile was taken into custody due to being on juvenile probation. The male juvenile was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing and cited for being out past curfew for minors. The female juvenile was also charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
