PIQUA — A Dayton resident was picked up on a warrant in connection with a robbery that took place in March on the 400 block of Wood Street in Piqua.
Taylor K. Spencer, 22, was arrested and taken into custody for first-degree felony complicity to aggravated robbery Thursday evening.
Hassan O. Purdie, 24, also of Dayton, was first charged in connection with this incident in March. A Piqua resident stated he went to a residence on the 400 block of Wood Street, where he was robbed. According to court records, Spencer is accused of taking the victim’s bank cards and cell phones, while Purdie held the victim at gunpoint.
In May, Purdie waived his right to a grand jury indictment and pleaded guilty to the crime. His plea was part of a plea agreement with the state that amended down his original charge of first-degree felony aggravated robbery down to third-degree felony robbery.
Purdie is facing a maximum sentence of 36 months in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000. Purdie is scheduled to be sentenced on July 5. Purdie is being held at the Miami County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Spencer was arraigned Friday. She is being held in the Miami County Jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for Spencer is scheduled for June 15.
