Bradford Library to host bluegrass fest

madriverrailroad.com Mad River Railroad will be one of six bands performing at the 16th Annual Bluegrass Music Festival taking place Friday, June 25, in the Bradford High School Auditeria. Sponsored by the Bradford Public Library, the free event will last from 4:45-11 p.m.


BRADFORD — As a free thank you to library patrons and area community members, the Bradford Public Library is sponsoring their 16th Bluegrass Music Festival from

4:45 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 24 in the Bradford High School Auditeria.

Veterans will be honored by the first band, Showtime Grass. The lineup also will include Mad River Railroad, Sugargrove, North & South, Berachah Valley, and the Rock Island Plow Company. All of the groups play local festivals and events, and will have CDs available to purchase.

A raffle will be going on at the school for a variety of items donated by local businesses and individuals to assist with the cost of the bluegrass program. Raffle tickets will be $1 each or six for $5. The tickets will be available the evening of the show and the drawings will be interspersed between the bands.

Chairs will be provided and food will be provided for purchase by The Bradford Historical Society.
