UVCC to offer OSHA training

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center will offer OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 general industry training in June. This combination training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. Courses are designed for all levels of employment from entry-level to safety directors and managers.

OSHA 10 will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20, and 8 a.m. to noon June 21. OSHA 30 will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20-24.

OSHA 10 consists of: Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Hazards, Exit Routes, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication/Global Harmonization System, Machine Guarding, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fall Protection and OSHA Inspection.

OSHA 30 includes OSHA 10 topics, as well as: Walking and Working Surfaces, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, Fire Protection, Material Handling, Managing Safety and Health, Hazardous Materials, Permit Required Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Welding/Cutting/Brazing.

The cost for OSHA 10 is $323 per person, and OSHA 30 is $503 per person. Prices include all training material and certification card. Participants must attend all scheduled training days.

All workshops are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
