Feast of Corpus Christi Celebration
PIQUA — This Sunday, May 29, St. Mary and St. Boniface Catholic Churches will join in the annual Celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi, which is Latin for “Body of Christ,” honoring the Catholic belief in the body and blood of Jesus Chris and his Real Presence in the Eucharist.
As in the past, the Corpus Christi celebration will begin with 11:00am Mass at St. Mary Church, 528 Broadway. Following Mass, a procession with the Blessed Sacrament displayed in a monstrance will proceed to St. Boniface Church, 310 South Downing, for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Eucharistic Procession will stop at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, where there will be a brief time of prayer will be followed by refreshments at St. Boniface.
The parishes extend an invitation for everyone to join in the Corpus Christi procession celebration. Anyone unable to walk is encouraged to ride in cars at the end of the procession. Lunch with God
PIQUA — St. James Episcopal Church, 200 W. High St., will be hosting Lunch with God Sunday, May 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The meal is free and open to everyone. Come and enjoy a great meal.
Vacation Bible School sign-up
PIQUA — People can now sign their children up for Vacation Bible School at St. James Episcopal Church.
Sign-up for Vacation Bible School will be from now until June 17, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The Vacation Bible School will be held on June 28, 29, and 30 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorial Day events at Fletcher United Methodist Church
FLETCHER — Following is the Fletcher United Methodist Church schedule of events for Memorial Day weekend:
• Friday, May 27, Movie at the Park, 9 p.m.
• Saturday, May 28, “Caring for Carrie” 5K Run/Walk. Check-in and Registration begins at 8-8:45 a.m. Race time begins at 9 a.m.
• Sunday, May 29, Traditional Worship at 8:15 a.m. Contemporary Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. Carnival at the Park will be from 4-7 p.m.
• Monday, May 30, Memorial Day Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ice cream social
BRADFORD — The public is invited to a homemade ice cream social on Thursday, June 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Greenville Christian Church, 5110 Buckneck Rd. in Bradford.
The menu has four flavors of ice cream, including vanilla, pineapple, strawberry, and chocolate. They will also be serving hot dogs, ham, sloppy Joe’s, chicken sandwiches, cake, pie, and drinks.
COVINGTON — Fields of Grace Worship Center will be hosting a bike blessing event on Sunday, June 12. The blessing will take place at 9 a.m. in the Market Fresh Parking lot adjacent from the church. At 9:30 a.m. guest speaker Doug Dodge will be giving an incredible message about his life of crime and how he came to find Christ.
Doug was born into violence and alcoholism and was raised in foster homes, juvenile lock-up, and prison. He spent years as enforcer of a motorcycle gang and a slave to addiction. Doug eventually found himself face to face with the only man who could bring him to his knees, Jesus Christ. Doug is now the author of his book 112421 and leader of Forged by Fire Bike Ministry in the Dayton area.
Following Doug’s powerful message there will be a free pulled pork lunch catered by Batdorf’s Red Barn Catering. Riders are invited to join in a ride following lunch. This is a free event.
