To the Editor:

Our journey through life sometimes takes us through bumpy roads, mountain tops and valley lows. During the last year my wife, Pam, and I have experienced the bumpy roads and valley lows of life due to my three spine surgeries and Pam’s bacterial infection to her brain and treatments thereafter. We are thankful for the support of family, friends and the community for their prayers, cards, phone calls, and visits.

We are also thankful to our son, Brian, and our dedicated staff at our funeral home for taking up our responsibilities during our lengthy recovery.

We are blessed to have local Pastors and Priests here in Piqua that prayed, gave us phone calls, and visits to Pam and I during our time of need.

We would especially like to thank the families we have served for their support, prayers, cards, and phone calls. Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home would not exist without your continued dedication to us.

We are so blessed to live in a caring, loving, and beautiful city like Piqua that we all sometimes take for granted.

Through the grace of our Lord and all of your support, Pam and I are now recovered and back serving full time at our ministry and business at the funeral home. God Bless you all for your faithful help and support during a most difficult time in our life.

With thanks and praise to all of you and our Lord.

Jerry and Pam Sowers
