To the Editor:

I encourage each and every voter in Miami County to support Jeannine Pratt for Common Pleas Court Judge. I have been a trial attorney my entire 17-year legal career. In that time I have worked with and had thousand’s of legal proceedings in front of numerous local judges. I have seen what it takes to be considered successful in this vitally important position.

A judge must be able to not only apply the law properly but to do so while maintaining the respect of all plaintiffs and defendants, law enforcement, fellow attorneys, and all citizens in the community. It takes an individual who has patience, is understanding, maintains an even temperament, listens well, understands all issue involved and then can make a strong decision based on the evidence and law presented, despite how difficult and controversial a case may entail. An excellent Judge has wonderful interpersonal skills, the ability to manage and lead a staff, and has the honesty and integrity to make difficult judicial decisions while being a leader within the local community.

I have dealt with both judicial candidates involved in the upcoming primary and as a local attorney, I thoroughly support Jeanine Pratt. Jeanine Pratt has each and every quality and characteristic required to successfully be the next Miami County Common Pleas Court Judge. I have known Jeannine my entire legal career and I have never once questioned her knowledge, work ethic, or legal skills in handling any type of case. Additionally, while being strong and tough in her position, I have watched her be fair and compassionate in working with others to uphold the values of the law. I believe Jeannine Pratt will apply the laws of the state of Ohio with complete integrity, compassion, and fairness. Please vote for Jeannine Pratt on May 6.
