TROY — A Dayton woman who fled to Las Vegas with her 4-year-old daughter after losing custody of the child was arraigned this week in Miami County Municipal Court after her extradition.
Eva O. Villamor-Goubeaux, 38, was given a recognizance bond following her video arraignment in court Wednesday on one felony count of interference with custody.
While out on bond she is to have no contact with the victim in the case — her own daughter, Teresa, 4, a Troy resident.
U.S. Marshals took Villamor-Goubeaux into custody in Las Vegas for a warrant issued by the Troy Police Department on Feb. 27, and since that time the suspect was in jail and undergoing the process of being extradited back to Miami County.
The girl was last seen by her father, Michael Goubeaux, on Nov. 24 when he returned the child to her mother after a scheduled visitation. The father was awarded custody of the child subsequent to that child exchange and Villamor-Goubeaux and the child were missing until her arrest in February.
According to the U.S. Marshal’s Service, the suspect was working as a home healthcare provider in the Las Vegas area.
She was arrested without incident.
