PIQUA — The Pride of Piqua marching band got two grants for new uniforms for the 2014 marching season. The grants came from The Piqua Community Foundation and the Miami County Foundation.

Funds were also raised by Piqua band parents through various fund-raising efforts such as car washes and the Heritage Festival. In addition, there were outside donations from community members. The quantity of donations got the band 100 uniforms.

They were designed by Fred J Miller Inc. located in Miamisburg. Mitch Mahaney said, “The design was done especially for us-no other group will have our design.”

Mahaney and the rest of the band would like to give a special thanks to everyone who helped get the uniforms and for supporting the band.
