Sophomore Kali Lewis is McDonald’s Student of the Week for the week of February 17-21. Lewis is the daughter of Kristy Perkins. Lewis was nominated by Joshua Burns for being very attentive and active in his U.S studies class. She works very hard to earn her good grades. “I’m very pleased with her growing sense of responsibility,” he said. Lewis isn’t involved in any extracurricular activities, but she enjoys vacationing, swimming, and just relaxing. Her favorite classes are Mr. Butler’s science class and Mr. Burns’ history class. Lewis is undecided when it comes to what college she wishes to attend, but she desires to obtain a degree in nursing and work within that field. When asked what she had to say to other students working hard in school she replied, “Work hard, and stay active mentally to achieve your goals.”
