PIQUA — The new office of optometrist Dr. David Littlejohn, which will open on Feb. 3, has several programs intended to give back to the community.

For every complete pair of glasses sold, the practice will donate a dollar to Health Partners of Miami County, a free clinic, a free clinic that provides health care for the uninsured and under-insured.

Littleton’s office also will carry a line of glasses called Eyes of Faith. When customers buy one pair, a pair will be donated to Sight Ministries International (sightministries.org), which sends missionaries and pastors around the world who provide eye care to those in need.

The business also plans to establish a college scholarship for Piqua High School students.

“As time goes on, we hope to expand to other schools,” said Littlejohn’s wife, Michelle, who helps with much of the practice’s planning and operations. “It’s all in the spirit of giving back.”
