To the Editor:
Thanksgiving is the season to reflect upon the things and people to be thankful and Piqua City Schools has much to be grateful and thankful for this year. We are thankful for our children at Piqua City Schools who are the heart of our work and the heart of our future. We have great kids who possess phenomenal potential, energy, motivation, gifts and talents. We are thankful for our staff which is comprised of dedicated educators committed to meeting the needs of our community children by teaching, leading and inspiring. We are thankful for a supportive community who values and prioritizes education with a keen understanding of its’ future impact. We are grateful for the opportunity our community has given our children through the construction of new elementary school buildings which are currently emerging from the ground and will advance our facilities well into the future. We are thankful for the skills of our construction team workers who are braving the natural elements on a daily basis to build our community’s new schools.
William Author Ward shared: “Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” We at Piqua City Schools are blessed with many wonderful opportunities and we are joyful, grateful and thankful! On behalf of the Piqua City School District students, staff and Board of Education I extend a heartfelt “thank you” for your continued support of our students and schools. Have a joyful Thanksgiving!
